Find a licensed HVAC subcontractor in California.
Tell us about the job. We introduce HVAC subs whose CSLB license (C-20) and insurance have been checked, after they agree to the intro.
What to check before a HVAC sub starts
- CSLB license: C-20Status "Active", and the classification matches your scope. How to check.
- Workers' compPer CSLB's exemption form, C-20 licensees can't claim the no-employee exemption, so a HVAC sub should have a workers' comp policy on file with CSLB. Workers' comp guide.
- General liabilityNot on CSLB records. Get a certificate and the endorsements your contract requires. COI checklist.
- Bond and expirationA contractor's bond on the CSLB record, and a license that doesn't expire mid-job.
