Why HatBench exists
General contractors spend a lot of time chasing certificates, and an uninsured sub can turn into a bill at audit time. Meanwhile, good subs whose license and insurance are in order often hear about work by word of mouth only.
As an agency, we already know which of our contractor clients have an active license and coverage in force, and through when. HatBench puts that to work: GCs tell us what they need, and we introduce subs who fit and want the job.
How we keep it straight
- Facts with dates. We show license status and coverage dates as of the day we checked. We don't rate anyone's work.
- Subs say yes first. Nothing about a sub is shared without their opt-in and their OK on the specific job.
- No public directory. There's no list to browse or scrape.
- A person matches every request. Not an algorithm, not a bidding board.
